Whether you like Joe Biden or not, the spectacle of seeing the leader of the free world stumbling and freezing before millions of viewers is a painful case. It is painful because of the humiliation that an otherwise decent human being must endure for the sake of presidential politics and, worse again, to satisfy the aims and agendas of the people pushing its continuation. Jill Biden and the cadre of fanatical advisors perpetuating this travesty are guilty of elder abuse, not to mention the shameless and coordinated masquerade of making people believe that Joe Biden is the man in charge. He clearly is not.

American presidents use to be renowned for their mental acuity and nimbleness, now they are renown in spite of it. Watching Joe Biden’s pathetic debate performance was reflective of a far greater malady in the American political soul, namely, that raw power retention is the only end game worthy of pursuing, and if keeping a man who is clearly unfit for the task at hand is required to achieve that end, it must be followed through at all costs. It is not just what the American people watching had to squirm through. World leaders and allies watched with consternation a performance by the man who is supposed to be “first among equals,” and the performance was far from reassuring given the volatile state of international affairs in 2024.

Joe Biden may indeed be a decent and honorable man. He is not someone, however, who has any business sitting in the oval office, or to be in a position to command and control the awesome power he has at his fingertips. The people closest to Biden should recognize the extremely dangerous path they are travelling in not insisting that their man withdraw. The media, Democratic donor class, and Biden political operatives have for too long perpetrated the myth of Biden’s competency and mental ability to discharge his office. The cover is gone, shorn away, and the damage is there for everyone to see. The first and most important pre-election decision on the part of the democratic party is to remove Biden from the ticket. Americans need to have better choices for the presidency than the senile or the unhinged.
